Your data
There is no Whistlestop account, so there is no account to delete. Everything the app knows is on your phone, and deleting the app deletes all of it.
What exists, and where
Your alarms, your settings, any sounds you recorded or imported, the list of sounds you blocked, and the short record of what played recently are all held in the app’s private storage on your device. We do not have a copy. There is no server to request one from.
Deleting everything
On iPhone or iPad
- Press and hold the Whistlestop icon on the Home Screen or in the App Library.
- Choose Remove App, then Delete App, then Delete.
On Android
- Open Settings, then Apps, and find Whistlestop.
- Tap Storage, then Clear storage, if you want to wipe the data but keep the app.
- Or tap Uninstall to remove both at once.
One thing to check. If your phone backs itself up to iCloud or to Google, a copy of the app’s data may exist in that backup. That backup belongs to you and is managed in your Apple or Google account settings. We have no access to it and cannot remove it for you.
Deleting one thing rather than all of it
Inside the app you can delete any single alarm, and you can delete a recording you made. A deleted recording is removed from the device, and any alarm that was using it falls back to the normal rotation rather than silently having nothing to play.
Your Pro purchase
Pro is recorded against your Apple or Google account, not against anything we hold, so deleting the app does not cost you your purchase. Reinstall and restore purchases and it comes back.
Anything you sent us
If you emailed support, or put your address on the launch list, that email exists in our inbox like any other email. Write to support@getwhistlestop.app asking us to delete it and we will.
The full detail of what is and is not collected is in the privacy policy.
